fluffyknickers
Nugget will have been laying a week tomorrow and on Thursday and today laid 80gram eggs both of which have had two yolks in. Is this ok? Is there something I am doing thats causing it? Is it just something that happens and doesnt cause any problem at all and happens a lot? Just wondered as dont want to be missing any signs. Michelle
Snowy
Double yolkers - yummy! It is quite normal for a hen newly laying to lay some doubles, also older hens at this time of year, their output seems to hit a peak so you may get some whoppers
C&T
We have had some enormous ones the last week 92g from our Gingernut - my OH's eyes were watering as he looked at it! Interesting that it is to do with the time of year. Unfortunately no double yolkers so far... Hoping for one soon!!
Cooks
Dory laid a v.large egg for her today so I am wondering whether that's a double yolker.
mostin
You lucky thing, nothing to worry about, but certainly something to brag about on here. I still haven't had one yet so I'm very
Egluntyne
Lucky you! We haven't had a double yolker in months. Just a blip in a new layer. Nothing to worry about.
