Does anyone own a laminator? I'm looking for a recommendation for one as a Christmas present (like to start early!! ).

I've seen several that you can buy to use at home (it's mainly for laminating recipe cards, god-children's art work etc) but have seen that some of them aren't very reliable and leave bubbles and imperfections.

Any suggestions?

I have one at work it is an Esselte and takes up to A4 sized paper and I have no problems with it but one of the tricks is to use quite good quality pouches and always use a cardboard carrier to run them through some pouches say you don't need one but personally I think you get a smoother laminate
