I completely agree that we need to act on these things. Turning a blind eye is not an option. In the past aduls would never have ignored /put up with the types of behaviour which now often go unchallenged.

Some common sense/ care for your own safety is required, of course, but if everyone either acted on, or reported, incidents of that tye then they would become much less frequent.

JM - I like the quote but could neither remember it exactly nor remember whose it was!

Megan you sound like the sort of girl any mum would be proud to call a daughter. You did the right thing  especially if the boy is known to cause trouble. This culture that it's OK to carry a knife has got to be quashed and it only can be if the perpetrators are found out and dealt with.

You are a brave young lady and a credit to all teenagers that want to do the right thing.

Well done Megan, you absolutely did the right thing. I shouldn't think the boy will discover it was you, the school won't disclose your name.

More people need to take a stand against things like this. OH is always moaning at me for having a go at the neighbourhood kids, not for anything serious mind, but i don't see why we should put up with any form of anti-social behaviour. If it looks like the school isn't taking it seriously then i would nag the Head about it. Was the boy allowed into school on Friday, he should have been automatically suspended and the police should get involved.
