Hi,

I'm looking for a couple of kittens for my nephew (request from my sister so not a present that hasn't been thought through fully). I realise it is early in the year for kittens so finding it difficult. I'd also much much rather go through an animal rescue than a pet store.

 

If anyone can help - anywhere within a hour or so from Berkshire round Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire through to Essex.

My local shelter has kittens looking for homes already, so it may be worth a ring round to see if any accessible shelters have any. If you put your areas into the search part of catchat.org, it will give you contact details.

Thanks I've had a ring around and visited my closest centre but no kittens around here yet. I'll keep trying as they don't usually run lists but thought it worth getting you guys looking out for me as well

 

For various reasons we want the kittens soon rather than waiting until there are more available.

I attach a link to Chestnut Cat Sanctuary in Essex - it explains that they don't usually advertise kittens. You could try giving them a ring, and see if they have any at the moment.

Patricia have you tried the Diana Brimblecome Rescue in Hurst - we got our young cat Chloe from there when she was a kitten.

Lisa we got our youngest cat from DBARC as well so I've ben into them but nothing yet but I'll keep checking them.

 

I'll phone around the others, I guess my problem is it's just too early in the season.
