craftyhunnypie
Well, we have used it & some of our chickens are 2 years old now. So I assume it's ok. We use it to wash the concrete over that they are on, once we've shovelled out the easibed. Emma.x
The Dogmother
My understanding is that while it is suitable for humans, it's toxic for chooks, albeit in larger quantities, just like Jeyes Fluid. You can rinse or scrub with Virkon or Barrier V1. I sprinkle the housing and run with a powdered disinfectant called Stalosan - it keeps the niffs at bay too. These are designed for use with poultry and the V1 is suitable for use on an organic basis.
Mutrix Farmers
Hi i was just thinking can you use milton to sterilise/clean for yor chickens? as ive used it for both my kids and use it to sterilise for home brewing too. I mis-read this and thought "why would you sterilize chickens?" Good old fashioned soap and boiling water is probably sufficient for any creature that pecks mud and drinks from muddy puddles.
