sandyhas3chucks
The chook that had a blockage a few weeks back, cleared it, had 2/3 days off then started laying the perfect little eggs again. However she has since just stopped, although a couple of times a day she goes to the nest , sits happily chuntering away then pops out with NO EGG. got to have been over a week now with this going on. She seems fine, perky eating. Can't really tell if she's waddling funny as for the first time since we got her in May(ex bat) she has a fully fluffy bum, so looks different antway. (prior to this she has laid continuously and all through the winter & no softees!) If she hadn't ha a blockage I would probably think she had just finished. Is this normal? I do have a poorly girl with a bacterial infection that is proving dificult to shift. MIght this be relevant?
Christian
If she was egg bound then it is likely that she would have filthy knicker feathers, where the droppings were trying to get out, but couldn't due to the blockage. She is probably taking a break from laying for a while.
