Lucia
Hi! Newbie I'm afraid - did a post on the intro thread but in cas eyou misse dit - hello! My cube and four chooks was delivered last Monday and today I was presented with two eggs! One was buried in the shredded paper so may have been laid yesterday and we didn't see it (certainly not there saturday when we cleaned them out) but the other one was definitely laid today. No idea who laid them though as they laid them while I was at work; not even sure if it was one of the Pepperpots or one of the Ginger Rangers. (Someone told me the Pepperpot eggs will be a much darker colour than the Rangers eggs?) Sooooo pleased - they are on the small side but I am very pleased with my two perfectly formed brown speckled eggs.

Lucia
Thanks - for some reason I expected them to lay over night not during the day? Not worried either way though. Yes the Pepperpots are called Nancy and Mildred, the Gingernuts are Jennifer and Emily.
Lucia
Well we had boiled eggs and soldiers for breakfast courtesy of the girls - and they were yummy . Saw Nancy go into the coup to lay and then found egg number 5 a beautiful almost creamy white egg! So it actually the Pepperpots who are laying the pale coloured eggs and the GR's the brown speckled ones - for some reason I thought it would be the other way around!
