Headchicken
How do you make porridge? Can I mix food + sour raw milk or food + yogurt? Thanks!
Omletina Kyckling
I just make up mine using layers pellets plus hot water and then add in sultanas, sweetcorn, or whatever else as an extra treat, plus perhaps some poultry spice or garlic powder or limestone flour (whatever I'm trying to get into them) - they think they are getting a great treat but they are just getting everyday pellets! They love it!! I'm not sure that milk is good for them?

quickcluck
I mix the normal pellets with garlic powder and bokashi with hot water then I add either porridge oats or weetabix, and sometimes some raisins or sweetcorn!
sparkysmum
Hi Jen, my ladies had warm porridge every day until recently. It comprised ; layers mash + bokashi + garlic powder + supplements ( limestone flour, poultry spice or whatever). However the smell and mess really got to me so now they get the same but dry. They eat it up and we are getting eggs more regularly There might be a lesson there

flowerangelk8x
the base is pellets with anything else i can find, all soaked in warm water. they can't get enough. but, don't make it too runny or they will end up covered in it.
Pink Ladies
We make our porriage with oats or pellets, boiling water (from the kettle) milk and sometimes left over yoghuts. We then wait for it to cool down and then I ask my mum to pop the bowl into the run because if I do it I always get scared at them flyng away!! Plum
From Izzy Jeary Aged 10 (member of the Pink Ladies) Wow you can drive at 10. Go girl. Mine won't look at warm or cold wet pellets. Shall try the goodies you all mention. I have to give them cornflakes, weetabix or porridge oats to get supplements in. Yeh they have me wrapped round their little toes.
