I've had my ankles bashed more than once by them. Once when the rider's pacemaker malfunctioned and she blacked out and sort of half fell of it, almost knocking me to the ground in the process. I'm afraid the first thing that came to mind for me was - did she have a surfboard on the back - seeing as she nearly ended up in Newquay! A gentleman near me has one and drives it as if it's a car, ie in the middle of the carriageway at very low speed, then makes unsignalled dashes into side roads. He spends much of the day in the local, then does the whole journey in reverse.
