nutterly_uts
The Orp thugs (I think the middle one is an orp, and I think I have 2 splash and a black, since they were sold as from black and blue stock, and I don't think I can get buff from that?) and all 4, including a black/red aracuana chick, who I am not sure will make it. S/he took over 24hrs to hatch, and seems very frail in comparison. Time will tell
Chickvic
What gorgeous chicks shame about the aracuana chick, hope it pulls through.
nutterly_uts
Ok, I don't think the little chick IS araucana. Had a proper look at it earlier, and is has 5 toes..... So place your bets ladies and gentleman as to what this little lad or lass is, or could be a cross of!!
Cooks
oooh 5 toes I have heard that before isn't that a Vorwerk (spelling??) something like that???
nutterly_uts
Google says Dorking, Faverolle, Houden, Sultan and Silkies all have 5 toes. Now of those, I *did* have silkies in but this chick hatched from a non marked egg (I marked the silky eggs) and hasn't got black skin. So we'll have to see!! nutterly_uts
I've emailed the seller to see if he has any of the 5-toed breeds. How odd, I could have sworn it came out of a blue egg too!
Cooks
oooh they are so cute!

feemcg
.....a legbar/dorking cross??.....would explain the 5 toes and blue egg....and similar markings, as they look like Cream Legbar girls
Griffin
There are people on Ebay claiming to sell blue egg laying Dorkings. Obviously there's been something else thrown in the mix at some point to get the blue, so they're not 100% Dorkings but they certainly look the part. feemcg
Yes, I saw that too......unfortunately all 6 of the Dorking eggs I got were clear
nutterly_uts
The orpington seller also has Silver Dorking. So maybe mystery solved! IF it is a dorking chick, the question is is it male or female!?

feemcg
Sorry .....might not be a Dorking though, and if it's a cross the markings might not be so defined.
