Puffin
I just wondered if anyone has been to merrydale poultry in the last week. I am hoping to go tomorrow but want to check first what availability they have. I have emailed and tried phoning but not got any response. When I call I just get "It has not been possible to connect you". I didnt want to go and take the kids only to be disappointed tomorrow. Thanks
helenc
Hi I was there on Saturday, as far as I can remember they had Rangers, Copper Blacks, Sweeties, and Cuckoos. I know they didn't have Cresteds, there may have been some others but I can't be sure. Hope that helps Helen
Newmarcell
Hi Puffin, I emailed Karen at Merrydale last week and haven't had a reply yet - which is very unusual for them. I can only presume that they're very busy with kid's easter hols (they have a young family) and rising demand for chooks. Karen is usually really good at updating the website and I'd imagine she'd put on there if they were closed. I would presume that they are open, just busy! You could always try calling in the evening, once the business has closed and the kids are in bed The house is attached to the business so they may pick up 'out of hours'. Have you been to Merrydale before? We got our first two girls from there a year ago ( ), and we're heading over to them in a few weeks time to pick up another couple of girls - I'm trying to hold out for a Crested but it seems like such a long wait! I check the website every day! It'd be nice to hear how you get on at the weekend, and what you come home with. Newmarcell

Puffin
We're back and now have (all named by the kids): Wendy - light sussex Peppa - sweetie Rose - Copper black and then because my husband liked them Polly a golden laced poland! They are now in our old pink eglu and run within the netting area that our other three use from the cube (which is in the walk-in run). Our three existing chickens are fascinated by the new arrivals! I must now updated my signature!
