The Dogmother
Great news Tessa, I used to have a lurcher (many years ago) who was part BC and she was mad as a bag of frogs!
Seagazer
I'm sorry you are having troubles, especially with it affecting Google. What the dog trainer who we brought in to help with Honey the rescue dog (half BC and half Springer Spaniel) was to praise her if she ever ignored the cat. This was all well and good but there were hardly any times that she ignored him. In the end she decided we should have a long training lead on Honey the whole time so that we would be able to stop her from chasing him. She ended up chasing him one day though and he landed awkwardly and damaged the ligaments in his back leg. He now walks with a very strange limp. I think it sounds like you have your work cut out for you. I would definitely think of getting someone in to give you advice. It didn't work in our case but hopefully it will for you. I have to say Battersea were next to useless. I phoned them so many times (often in tears) to ask for their help. Honey was also not housetrained although I was told she was. Because you are feeling unwell things always seem worse. Hope you feel better soon and Polly settles down.
Ain't Nobody Here
Sorry to hear things are difficult . It must be hard when you were so excited about her coming . I'm sure with time and some outside help with training, you'll get her sorted out. What a shame that you're feeling poorly too . That won't help .
