seraphine
This arrived yesterday http://www.amazon.co.uk/Keeping-Chickens-Essential-Enjoying-Getting/dp/0715325671/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1240477673&sr=8-1 and I've found it really helpful so far. Obviously there's nowhere near as much advice as I've already found on here, but excellent to refer to, nice pics and a good anatomy section. I know there's a few of us nebies about so thought I'd post in case anyone's thinking of buying a book (or two!).
sgregson
Thanks for the tip - will have to get myself one ordered! Sal
Hen Watch
This one is good too, written by the Practical Poultry Magazine chap. I've got this and it's very useful. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Choosing-Keeping-Chickens-Chris-Graham/dp/0600614387/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1240501973&sr=1-1 But for complete novice, I don't think you can beat Omlet's very own book, even if you don't have an eglu, as it covers the real basics. http://www.omlet.co.uk/shop/shop.php?cat=Books&sub=Chicken&product_id=97&sort=popularity&start=
seraphine
I was going to go for the Amazon one but it's OOS. And the reviews for the one sold here on Omlet put me off a bit! No doubt I shall be buying more chook-books though!
