Hob
I know that Rabbits have a favourite spot for going to the toilet but my two have decided that their spot is right by their food bowl! Even that wouldn't be so bad as I obviously clean them regularly but when I lift the food bowl out, I've found that they get their bum up on the raised part to have a wee which then goes down underneath! Why would they do this? Are they trying to tell me something? Can I deter them from doing this? Please help
pepe
Mine did the same, they still use the corner opposite and outside by the front door. When I clean mine out I use a very mild solution of tea tree oil in spray bottle full of water,I spray near their food bowl area and this has stopped them weeing in their bowl. Hope this helps.
Hob
Thanks Mandy, I'll give it a go. I do find it very strange that as clean as rabbits are naturally, that they would do this! Thanks for the suggestion - I'll let you know how I get on.
