legend21
Hello everyone obviously I am new, I am ordering my cube tomorrow and have arranged for a pick up of battery hens at the start of June. They will provide me with the mash but I would like advice on bedding and feed and where I can buy it. I live in North lanarkshire
Ain't Nobody Here
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting some ex-batts . Not sure which type of bedding you were looking for but Hemcore is very good as are Aubiose and Easibed. If you find an equine store near you, you'll probably find they stock most of what you need . Good luck and don't hesitate to ask anything else . (Nice to see yet another Scottish member joining!)
feemcg
Hi there, where are you in North Lanarkshire?........I get my Easibed and feed etc. from Galloway and Mcleod in Stonehouse or from Lawrie + Symington in Lanark, there also another place beside Tesco in Lanark who's name escapes me. I have a cube, and you're welcome to come and see my set-up, chooks etc. and talk chickeny stuff if you wish
Egluntyne
If you are getting the hens via the BHWT, let Omlet know and they will make a donation to the charity as you have bought a cube especially for the rescued girls.

poachedegg
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting ex batts! Just one thing you may need to consider is whether when you first get your girls whether they will be able to manage the ladder....a little adaptation may be necessary.
