Help Please - Battery girls on order for beginning of June

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone obviously I am new, I am ordering my cube tomorrow and have arranged for a pick up of battery hens at the start of June. They will provide me with the mash but I would like advice on bedding and feed and where I can buy it. I live in North lanarkshire

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting some ex-batts :) .

Not sure which type of bedding you were looking for but Hemcore is very good as are Aubiose and Easibed. If you find an equine store near you, you'll probably find they stock most of what you need :) .

Good luck and don't hesitate to ask anything else :) . (Nice to see yet another Scottish member joining!)

Hi there, where are you in North Lanarkshire?........I get my Easibed and feed etc. from Galloway and Mcleod in Stonehouse or from Lawrie + Symington in Lanark, there also another place beside Tesco in Lanark who's name escapes me.

I have a cube, and you're welcome to come and see my set-up, chooks etc. and talk chickeny stuff if you wish :D

Feemcg, I would really like to come along and see your set up, I think it would give me a wee bit more confidence, I live in Airdrie, but, have sat nav will travel. Let me know a few dates that would suit you and we can get something arranged.

Thanks to you all for your advice, this forum is great.
