2 sheds reckons I've had a taste bypass...

we have a scarecrow competition in our village, and it is quite scary when people have put them all up in their front gardens. I find them a bit sinister somehow....

We have a gnome though - proper china one, which was a wedding present and is now 22. The children repainted him as a birthday treat (for him !) 2 years ago and so he looks better than new now. His name is Gordon.... but nothing to do with the Scots chap of the same name.

I did have 2 pot cats somewhere in the jungle called a garden and a fox. Reminds to go and hunt them out - with 2 boys they tend to get footballs lobbed at them. I had to laugh at shot garden gnome - sorry - just one question why was it in neighbours garden? Do you have a gnome sharing scheme?

I like them. I had a bigger one a few years ago but it was stuffed with paper and only lasted a couple of years. Maybe I'll try and make one to keep the birds off the strawberries this year. (I don't like netting them)

I have two tin cats that are supposed to hold plant pots, two sheep that the glaze is falling off but I like them so won't throw them out, a metal effect plastic gnome, a boy and girl statue, a goose, a squirrel and a cherub. Plus a variety of bird baths including a girl reading a book and a snoozing mexican.

All very tastefully arranged around the garden of course. :D:D
