Bought them this afternoon in B&M Bargains for 99p each, you couldn't make them for that price! I think they're really cute and liven up my veg patch :D

Well now you see I like those! Not that that's any recommendation really as I have Christmas lights in the front room, hula-hula lei things round the dresser and various scare-crow, disco balls, and other assorted glittery twirly things in the garden. In fact the children and I once made necklaces for the trees and shrubs in our garden - very sparkly they are too!

Very nice Justine, don't take any notice of him!:lol:

Oh Poet, I think they're rather cute!

Your house sounds lovely too BeckyBoo, but I'm a tad of a magpie and love shinny glittery stuff. I've been known to decorate the apple tree with little coloured ribbons... anything that catches the light and plays with it really, crystals, mirrors, coloured transparent stuff, colourful anything, metallic... just love the stuff. And those sweet scarecrows, lovely for a miniature vegetable field!

Oooh, I remember B&M Bargains! We don't have them 'down here', they are a northern chain, possibly northwestern. I used to love going in B&M when I got my pocket money - they were full of cheap tat :lol: Love those scarecrows though! 8)

I like them too, especially the one with the hat and scary Hallowe'en face  (but then I do have a blow up seagull in my bathroom, so what do I know about taste  )

We don't have B&M here, though it looks like they have a few stores over in the Black Country. We do have Home Bargains and they sell similar bits and bobs :D

They're good fun! And for 99p each, well, you can't go too wrong. 8)

For my birthday I would like a proper garden gnome. The old style , not the modern plastic ones. :D

oooooooooooooo yes!!! Me too, like the one in Amelie!:D

We have two large (= massive!) black barrels with an equally massive hosta in each and we have 1 of these (different figure) in each for about 6 months.......so I was tasteless before you!! (but then we do have a 7 yr old girl, so have a good excuse! :D )

For my 40th last year 2nd son (15) bought me a whistling gnome - it is outside the french doors and when I go out early in the morning to let out the chickens looking rough in my dressing gown and pjs - he gives me a wolf whistle!!

Very good for the soul and I always say "why thank you" to him!!!

he has got 2 sheds, 1 at home and 1 at the allotment, it was missuscluck who gave him the honour of that particular sobriquet! It's a Monty Python joke :D (Arthur '2 sheds' Jackson)

The veg patch is fenced off from the chooks or we'd have nothing left :D

:D Many years ago LSH had the nickname S...3 sheds..W. for a while, so I chuckle when I see yours.

Within a few days of moving house some fencing blew down. We couldn't afford more fencing and the new shed we desperately needed, so we put up 2 sheds in the gap(not sure now you're allowed to) & as there was already a tiny shed in the corner....

I have loads of these in my flower bed / dustbath area. I have to have them instead of flowers, as the chooks eat them. They make me smile & look good mingled with all the solar light things we also collect. Windmills, scarecrows, twirlies, fibre optic colour change solar globes, tasteful gnomes - bring 'em on!
