Valkyrie
Well it had to happen didn't it. I was in the garden with DD and planting some veggies. OH was in the front garden mowing the lawn. DD went back in and as she walked up the path said "where are they?" I said that they were in the kitchen - actually thinking they were behind the greenhouse where they had been when I was pottering back and forth with the plant trays. Yes they were in the kitchen and the back door had closed behind them shutting them inside and us outside. Not only that, one of them had pooed in OH's slippers. He wasn't impressed, but we howled! Redwing
very funny! Better get those slippers in the wash!
Valkyrie
I got the hose out! Closely followed by disinfectant for the floor!
C&T
Ours are convinced ther are all sorts of goodies "through the glass doors"! Ginger came in with wet muddy feet last week, and left the most perfect chickenfoot prints on the carpet! (I quickly cleaned before OH saw them... )
Valkyrie
It does have it's drawbacks - OH pinched my flip flops to go out - only discovered that when I found them missing. I love chicken footprints. Years ago we managed to find the dinosaur footprints on the beach (eventually - it wasn't easy, but when we found one we could see them everywhere). The girlies footprints look just like those prehistoric ones - just a lot smaller!

Valkyrie
Oops I forgot to mention the dinosaur footprints are in the Isle of Wight.
Henhathnofury
They are living dinosaurs really - those legs and feet are truly prehistoric. So own up, how much did you 'pay' (i.e grapes, sweetcorn all things yummy) them to poo in those slippers! They may be chickens but they are monkeys as well! Valkyrie
So own up, how much did you 'pay' (i.e grapes, sweetcorn all things yummy) them to poo in those slippers! I bet they were after the sultanas on the table - I keep them to hand! I could hear DD going "get out, get out, get out". Closely followed by cackling (DD) then "muuuuuuuum, guess what?" I usually find "about turn!" usually works when they are investigating. A couple of times now I have wandered to the fridge and found 2 naughty girls have sneaked in - and they are so blooming quiet when they do! But when it was raining the other day and they wouldn't go in the greenhouse I thought I'd let them come in a bit - but noooo. Edited to add - it's been a sneaky wish that it would happen to his shoes!
