I was just locking up the run last night with all four girls safe in the coop, enjoying the evening sun and listening to the birdsong ....

 

when I spotted a teeny weeny mouse with big eyes and big ears peeking from behind the pellet hopper ....

 

 

then WHAM like an exocet my Bluebelle came hurtling down the steps and the teeny weeny mouse with such big eyes and big ears was .....GONE

EUGH!!! I thought mine was gross eating a mouldy old bit of strawberry she found!! I had no idea they'd eat a mouse!!

I suppose you could look at it as a novel form of vermin control...more environmentally friendly than poisoned bait
