For years I have put the oven on for up to 2 hours to cook jacket potatoes (don't like them microwaved). Last week decided to double wrap them in tin foil and pop into the coals in the solid fuel stove for an hour instead. Thanks for sharing this idea, I don't mind mine microwaved but I will try it when I have to light the open fire in the winter.
