HI

I am new with (cube green) I only put the Hemcore(similar to aubiouse) in the nest area.

I put a sheet of newspaper at the bottom of nest and fill the nest with bedding.

Got to say I just line the trays with about 3 sheets of newspaper and about every 3 days tip it all into an incinerator and match it! I dont put bedding in roost area at all as the poos just drop through. I may in the winter when it gets really freezing cold. I think you will waste it in the roost area not required(what ever works best)

good luck you will love the cube brill product so easy to use

You're doing the right thing Indie. A recent article in Practical Poultry showed that lack of ventilation at night could lead to feather loss, so it's best that they get the air flowing around them when they're roosting at night.

Eggsquisite, like the others have said, Aubiose will go well in the nesting area. However, if you find they're eating it, it doesn't matter if there's nothing in there at all. The nesting material is only there to make sure the egg doesn't crack as your hens lay, not to make things comfortable for the hen.

Mine ate or shoved out everything I put in their nesting box so they had an empty one, and we only once had a cracked egg! :D
