half dozen Posted May 17, 2009 Share Posted May 17, 2009 I fancy adding a couple of frizzles to my flock but no nothing about then!!! would they mix with large breeds and hybrids ok??? and does anyone know anywhere in Devon that breeds them??? tom123 Posted May 17, 2009 Share Posted May 17, 2009 How weird is this! I have just got of the phone with a man who has buff orps and frizzle bantams. I am going to reserve one of each. I understand that they are a little bigger than a pekin and are good layers. They mix well with l/f i think. I have 2 bantams in with 4 l/f and they get on fine. Good Luck. craftyhunnypie Posted May 18, 2009 Share Posted May 18, 2009 I keep & breed frizzles. My Spongebob cockerel is gorgeous, but a bit naughty with me - he likes my leg. However he has a lot of children all over the UK now. Button is my little girl frizzle - Spongebob's daughter. She is adorable & waddles about like a pom pom on legs! I love my frizzles to bits & they get on with my big girls (hybrids) wonderfully. They go about the garden & dustbathe together. Oh & we often have to fish Spongebob out of the cube - as he very often wants to go bed with the hybrids instead of his pekin lavender ladies.
