4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

As you know Marlene our Gold laced Wyandotte is sitting on eggs. Hubby converted the bottom of the chicken shed today into a broody coop / area.

He made a plinth & a side panel - all are removable if necessary (screws). Then made a large front opening panel / door for full access to the area. I think he did well.

I just wish she'd chosen one of the yellow plastic lin bins to settle in, instead of that now tatty box. Once & if hatched, then hopefully I can do a quick swap. Above that broody area is the balcony where all the other nesting boxes are & the roosting perch for the night for all the others. Although 2 love to roost on the cupboard with the newpapers in. Thank god for pound shop & those long trays - perfect for catching poos & as food trays.

 

Yes she is very comfy & very happy that her friends can still see her in the maternity ward.
