Falkor
Hi all! I have radish in the garden and have been sowing them in three weekly intervals and I am picking them at the moment. I think I have sown a few too many in one session and now have a glut. Also...I was out when my veg box got delivered and I got a bunch of 28 (i've counted!) radish in there too! Normally I would be able to swap them....that will teach me for popping out to get more supplies to make MORE choc fridge cake! SO...my question is....apart from salads anyone know of anything else to do with all these radish?
Tessa the Duchess
I also have a glut in the garden. I have never tried cooking them, just eat them as a snack with a teeny bit of salt. I find you have to pick them fairly quickly or they tend to go 'woody'. Tessa
chickencam
They work well in stir fries. I think that they would also be ok lightly cooked a bit like turnips.
Guest
they're yummy dipped in mayo as a snack but could you juice them and experiment with mixing them with apple or carrot juice for a healthful drink?

Guest
I'm only used to seeing those tiny ones in the shops I'm just deciding what to do with them, might whip up a batch of mayo tomorrow
sunshinesupernova
I usually pull them when I'm down at the field and munch them on the way home. My oh doesnt like radish. I'm not over fussed - but I like growing them and they're dead easy... and have a satisfying crunch with practically no calories..... YOu do get giant ones that grow as big as golf balls - I've just ordered some seeds... I've got about 1 week supply of radish left. I planted more on Monday and some more today.... so I hope they hurry up
