Charlottechicken
I received a £20 Homebase voucher the other day, courtesy of my buildings and contents insurance (really cheap last year plus £7 cheaper at renewal plus if I renewed before a certain date I got the voucher ). So, I popped over to my local Homebase yesterday, 10% off day, and bought; A lovely wirework three tier cake stand in cream Three 1 litre pot Dianthus for a tenner A two litre pot Lavender (papillon) from the sale shelf A pot of horseradish from the sale shelf the whole lot came to £20.63, so I had to cough up 63p As I had a bit of cash in my purse, I popped into Aldi on the way to the train and picked up an ice cream maker for £19.99. Phew! I wish shopping was always like that

craftyhunnypie
I'd love a get together with Charlottechicken & do a £20 shopping challenge! See who could get the best things for £20. You always do brilliantly! I remember in Winter when you got your stripey socks, cardi etc. Emma.x

craftyhunnypie
And me Poet - can be used for more things than cake. I noticed Snowy uses one at her craft fairs. Emma.x
Reikiranf
I have the cake stand it's fab except mine has never held a single cake I keep my fruit in it! It looks lovely and I put the bananas at the top so they don't ripen everything else before I want it. Amanda

Charlottechicken
I have the cake stand it's fab except mine has never held a single cake I keep my fruit in it! It looks lovely and I put the bananas at the top so they don't ripen everything else before I want it. I have fruit in mine too! It looks lovely. I saw the cake stand a couple of months ago when I was in Homebase last, and thought it was so pretty and delicate looking. I just wouldn't ordinarily buy anything like that. At just £7.49 it was a good buy anyway, but 10% off and with a £20 voucher in my hand it was a bargain They also had cream hen shaped egg holders, traditional style (£20 though, I didn't want to blow the whole voucher on one thing).
