Guest
Congratulations you wont be disappointed they are great pets and apart from providing water shelter and food they are no bother, I mean what pet puts itself to bed at night time. Obviously you will be rewarded with some lovely eggs too as a bonus Good luck indie

Guest
You will love them and so will your children. My children are real little eco warriors now - it has really made them look at the world around them and consider where their food comes from! Lakes Chick
Ah, thanks Guys! Well things have moved on a little since this morrning. DH, who prior to this was still cross with me for the third chicken (there was only meant to be two), came over all strange and said why dont we convert the dog crate to a coop and fence it in with some big mesh pannels we have and bring the girls home now?!?! Well one fantastic improvised chicken house later and they are very happily pecking round in the garden, I fear that we have done such a good job that they my turn their noses up at the eglu when it arrives. I feel like a propper chicken owner now. Any wa,y off to get a glass of vino and watch them. Lorna x (will post a picture tomorrow, very proud mummy)

Ain't Nobody Here
That's great news . Let's hope your OH comes over all strange more often (and you can sneak walk in runs, more chickens, chickenalia, etc, etc past him ).
