Griffin
Oooh your brahmas look just like mine, don't you love those feathery legs. Any idea what to look for to sex them - there is something about head shape early on but haven't looked into it I haven't a clue, I can't even tell mine apart let alone hazard a guess at sexing them They've just started to get feathers on their backs at the top of their wings and they have tiny tails too. I assume perhaps the girls get feathered up quicker than the boys. I'll have to look into it and I'll let you know if I learn anything. Yep the girls do feather up a lot faster than the boys and apparantly the boys will go black on, I think, their backs. You can pretty much tell by 5-6 weeks apparantly You might have all girls there
dame egna
How did I miss this?! Beautiful So will you be eating the silkies if they are boys? The farmer I got my chicks from told me they have black skin, so not very tempting when cooked
