New Baby Chick Pics.

Recommended Posts

I've started another thread for my chicks, I didn't want to add these lovely photos to the end of the old thread because it was a bit sad.

These are my reasons to be cheerful..........

congratulations

they are sooo cute. I keep thinking how wonderful it is for children to see and experience these things. Will you keep them all?

What will you do with the cockrels? I ask because I would like to hatch one day but I don't know what to do with them as I know I wouldn't be allowed to keep them.

Well Paxo & the Light Sussex growers moved on to their new home today, but the arrival of yesterdays ex-batts negates that  The three meat boys will not be here forever so they don't count  We have to face the fact that around half of all our chicks will be boys so I'll not be adding a huge amount of new girls to our flock, probably just one of each breed (or colour in the case of the Orps!). The Orps & Brahmas will have their own accommodation and I'm thinking of having a separate flock for the Silkies & Poland if it's a girl.

All in all I expect to have around 20 to 25 permanent residents by the end of the summer

Thankfully Mr Griffin loves the chooks too :D
