Well today they have been eating some of it Will they be OK or should i get the hoover out? Budgies Posted May 25, 2009 Share Posted May 25, 2009 Check their crops Raina. One of mine ate LOADS of sand as a young POL hen and blocked her crop! Taking action straight away can help save them. If their crops are not empty in the morning, I'd recommend syringing oil (olive oil seems to be ok) down their throats, and massaging their crops to get it all shifting.
