How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Isabella (our 4 year old) has been periodically checking the nestbox all day, at around 6pm tonight she came racing indoors to tell us Annie, her hen, was sitting in the nestbox and she thought she was laying an egg! Well, lo and behold, Annie came strolling out of the Eglu about 5 minutes after so Bella and I went to check and yes - there was an egg! How exciting is that?! Our first egg on day 1!

 

It weighs around 50g so is quite little but will be very much enjoyed by my daughters tomorrow

How has the cat taken to the chickens? Ours were freaked out for ages! And to think I was worried about them scaring the hens! It was the other way around!

We've had our first egg today too! What a great start to the day it was! yippee.

 

Cornelia has been trying so hard, bless her, we've had four soft shell or no-shell eggs laid in the Eglu and run over the last few days, but today.... she did it, a proper egg in the nest box

 

What a great feeling. So now Fanny and Kimberley need to stop growing into massive chickens and get laying too.
