The new Wii Active was launched this week and it is a fantastic all round work out, very addictive also.

 

You can use it with the Wii fit baance board as well, where as the wii fit balance board is more fun and balance awareness the wii active burns calories!

We are on day 6 of the 30 day challenge and I am so glad its my rest day today

If ur glad its ur rest day then yes it is the same thing, I have been doing the 30 day challenge, a 29 minute (hard session - highly intense) 16 minute boxing and a 2.10 run every day for the last week. You can really feel it!

Do you need to have the Wii fit thing to use the Active. OH and I were thinking of getting a Wii Fit as we need to get fitter.

I don't think so, but I have that already...........The Wii fit is more of a gentle exercise and I like the yoga bit but i don't find it pushes me enough.

 

I am really looking forward to using the Wii active......

You can use it independant to the wii fit or in conjunction, you dont work any less using it wthout the wii fit.

 

The wii fit is more of a laff and conentrates on balance etc.

 

The wii active in my opinion will get you fitter

Thanks for that - we need to do something and thought this would fit in more rather than joining a gym (again - I used the cafe more than the gym ).

Did my first workout today - it was really good and it defintely felt as if I was getting a good workout. Very sweaty I gave myself the fattest profile on it and it spurred me on watching 'my' fat bottom running along

 

I burned up 90 calories - can I have a glass of wine now

I have no will power whatsoever and have just ordered it. The only thing is that I am not sure whether I need to buy the peripherals bit as well???

It all comes in the box you only need to buy the peripherals if 2 people want to play together............Have fun my thighs are aching after just one session.....

Wow - I am aching this morning. Just got back from walking the dog before I have another go. I'm doing the 30 day challenge (believe me it will be a challenge). I'm so determined to get fit as there are far too many wobbly bits on my body.

No - I'm doubting that I'll be able to pick up YS from school this afternoon

 

Actually I feel great, even though I'm aching. I did used to belong to a gym and I never, ever got sweaty as once the gym people have done the induction there is no real incentive to push yourself hard (well not for me anyway) but seeing the big bottom running on the track is having the desired effect.

 

I'm going to watch what I'm eating as well, I'm normally good at not scoffing chocolate and cakes but have been recently.

 

My SIL is also doing this and we bought another set of leg band etc so OH and I can do workouts together.

 

Watch this space - I am going to do it.
