Chicken with mouth wide open? Do they have plenty of water? Shade? Dust to bathe in?

 

Dog - be assertive. Don't get stressed out with him/her, just be firm and positive, that way the dog will stay calm and so will you. I know it's not as easy as it sounds, but try it

 

Fox problems - Be vigilant. Apparently male wee around the garden is good If you ahve a large garden, you can fence part of it off Generally, I've found a dog in the garden, or next doors garden will scare a fox away (tho this is not a proven deterrant!)

 

Yes, I'm sure everyone can say that they feel overwhelmed at times, but the rest of the time you won't

 

Oh, and where are our Pimms??!

Hello! Yes, feeling a lot better. I am also having a long hard think about taking on another few hens this weekend. I really want to do it, but might speak to HenRehomers to say I'm in a flap at the moment.

 

And because you have all been so lovely to me .... I shall give you my Peaches' Pimm's recipe -

 

Pimm's

American ginger ale

Chunks of cucumber

A few strawberries

Basil mint (just happens to be my favourite mint of all time)

Lots of ice

 

Put all in jug, stir, pour into glass, find a hammock, relax and enjoy .....

 

There are probably as many Pimm's recipes as there are Pimm's drinkers. I've just found American ginger ale less sweet than lemonade.
