craftyhunnypie
What an awful day it is today. It's cold & wet, so won't be in the garden. Thought I might do a bit of crafting - but what on earth shall I make? I think I'll get my sewing machine out & put my mystery swap fabric to use eventually! I also have some cute chick fabric - so should be able to make something nice. I've thought about a tote bag. Any other quick & easy ideas? I just want to be able to say - 'I made this today'! Snowy
Go for it Emma - perfect sewing weather! I made my very first bag on a day like today
craftyhunnypie
It's either sewing, knitting or crochet. I might do some amigurumi later - that's such fun making cute characters. I'm nowhere near as good as you on a sewing machine Snowy - your bags are something else! Mine would just be a basic square I think. I could also get my acrylics out , as I have some large canvasses that need painting too. Oh the creative mind is now working overtime! Snowy
So many ideas and so little time!! So what have you done with your day?
craftyhunnypie
I made potato salad, I made a mug cake & I actually don't like it. Too sickly & over the top cakey. The birds will have to eat it I think. I cut out material & popped to buy some white cotton. I have made one of those Mors bags, as recommended by Poet. It's really quite easy to make, but took me a while, as it's the first bag I have ever made since school days. I'm quite pleased with it - even though I made my seams a bit large & the bag is a bit smaller than it should be. I used 2 fabrics - half of the Laura Asley fabric from the mystery fabric swap & the other was some I had lying about with chicky chickens on. I shall take a pic tomorrow & will probably now make some more as I was so engrossed making it. Emma.x

Plum
I put borders on my 3rd Cot quilt so am going to sandwich it tonight? Did get out in the garden for an hour or two late afternoon. Blinking rain.

craftyhunnypie
Here's my first one! It's not perfect but I'm pleased with it. Used it today at Lidl. Anyone recognise the Laura Ashley fabric? It was from the mystery fabric swap - it came it really useful! The second bag will be photographed tomorrow - it's larger, more square style. All Laura Ashley fabric with a chickeny fabric pocket in the centre of it. I was trying to be adventurous. Think a lot of people will be getting a bag as a prezzie this year. lisaroo2
I love the bag!! I'd like some of that chook fabric (or similar) to make curtains with. Does anyone know where I can some from? Lisa
