tidygirlsuk
That happened to me with my light sussex batam. She had never layed an egg. I found lice on her. spayed her with someting that has egg withdrawal for seven days. Then she layed her first and second egg that week so I couldn't eat them. Then she hasn't layed anything since

Ain't Nobody Here
There is a 3 day egg withdrawal period, which is a pest but it's not as long as some treatments.

Blackrocksrock
My cure for the non egg laying or softee girl was total yoghurt mixed in every day with some veggies and lo and behold 3 white eggs this week - why they are white I dont know thougn. Only one problem though - she is laying under the hosta in the garden rather than the nesting box.
Ain't Nobody Here
My cure hasn't worked that well . I might try the yogurt approach .
Blackrocksrock
Did the yoghurt for a few days but she is laying again albeit outside the run under the hosta bush and its getting back to brown colour and feel of the others - just as big as the others too and yesterday I had for the second time in a week a 3 egg day - full house. Yahay that hen. Dont give up hope - I dont know what was wrong with her but obviously its cleared up whatever it was. I also changed to ex batt food recently and am in the process of going over to it too and they have some pellets and some mash which they love dry.
