Egg Bound - Not a new topic but seeking some clarity?

Recommended Posts

Its been four days now since we had an egg from Villie. I'm about to go out and check her over but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. She is still marauding round the garden and still chases up to me at 50 miles an hour its just the lack of egg.

Do you think she has heard us talking about getting her a new friend? She's almost humanised now and thinks its quite appropriate to jump on your knee if you're sat in the garden! Do you think she doesn't want to be reminded that she is in fact ..... a chicken?

Any suggestions gratefully appreciated. :D

Well its day 5 and still no egg. Apparantly the paper in her nesting box has been compressed and she was in there for some time today but with no egg shaped result. She's eating OK and polished off the marmite on toast I made for her last night.

Had a bit of a furkle with her and she didn't seem in any discomfort but now I've read the article (thank you ever so) I might go out for round two. Wish me luck.

I'm still thinking she's got the hump about the idea of a new friend.

Well after a 5 day drought we seem to be back on track - I'm thinking that me prodding and poking her was too much to take and she decided that coming up with the goods was easier.

In response to the worming question - I had her back in November so I wonder if it is time to worm her. Should probably do that before I get another one in.

Thanks for your help.
