ClaireG
As we are not going to be able to afford a proper holiday this year, we're thinking of going to the seaside for a couple of days The Norfolk/Suffolk area is somewhere we've never been before and i'm looking for some help and recommendations. We'd prefer sandy, quieter beaches if possible and a cheap and cheerful B&B or hotel. Any ideas?
The Dogmother
It's an area I know well. Since my folks sold the house, we either stay with friends or in a B&B I can recommend a few B&Bs in the mid-coast area... http://www.greenridges.com/ http://www.lodging-world.com/accom.Barn_Court.106955.html http://www.hallfarmguesthouse.co.uk/ http://www.themoorhenhorning.co.uk/Holiday%20Let.htm They all serve free range breakfasts and are near the coast/broads. Another one if you want somewhere quiet and on the river is the Sutton Staithe Hotel Good luck and I hope that you enjoy it.

The Dogmother
No worries, if you need any info just ask, I know the area very well. Excellent sea-front/cliff-top cafes at Winterton and Overstrand, both serve homemade food and cakes
Janty
I don't know much about b&bs but Claret's advice sounds good. I will look around for you. Of course, you will have to pay us a visit if you're up this way.
Janty
When will you be coming up this way? Just a thought but the tennant has given me notice on my little house in North Suffolk. She is moving out at the end of June. Obviously I am trying to either sell it or get another tennant in but if it's empty, you are welcome to use it for a week. It would save you paying for a hotel. It has a hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Jan
