spencerwood
Hi, Would anyone advise feeding the spent grain from home beer brewing to chickens? It seems a bit of a waste just to chuck it away. I know most of the sugars will have come out for the brew but there must be some goodness left it. Had anyone tried it? Spencer
theherd123
Never tired it but may be good for your compost heap?
Lewis
I've no idea but I know that tey said some of the by-products from the Talisker whiskey distillery on the Isle of Skye feeds the livestock on the island, just not sure what it was. Daphne
I asked this question somewhere and was told it was bad for chooks but I can't remember why. Ours now gets chucked on the compost.
