-sarahjayne
Today I got my hens, but i've noticed the smallest quietest one is always away from the others in a corner or under the house, and whenever she goes near the others they boooork and peck at the poor thing. She's also very sniffly and ive seen her sneeze, but other than this shes completely healthy - bright eyes, moving around, nice feathers, her apetite is great she's had lots to eat - pellets, corn, grass, and whatever else she's found and she's drinking a good ammount to. I appreciate this is their first day but is this something I'll need to worry about? I really dont want to have to isolate her from the group as we're short for money now and dont have another chicken house.
Patricia W
I should just keep an eye on her. Sounds as though they are sorting the pecking order out. Make sure that there are plenty of food and drink sources if you see her being stopped getting at food or drink. But sounds as though she is holding her own enough. The sneezing may just be dust. You will really enjoy having chickens - but it is nerve-wracking at the beginning. Just like bringing a new baby home! Keep us posted. There are always lots of helpful people on here. You're not alone Tricia
Redwing
I agree with Tricia, just keep an eye on her, if any blood gets drawn separate her in a box and come to the forum for advice It sounds like you are doing well so far, it is all worrying to start with
Egluntyne
Why not try some Citricidal in the water for her sniffles? **Here**
