Judy (mother of Andy) had a day at our local primary school. She did some tennis coaching with the P3's and some other activities. She was fab At lunch time she must have signed a couple of hundred autographs and gave out hundreds of signed photos of Andy What a lady, not a hint of "celebrity". Lots of TV cameras around but I'm not sure what it will be on. Wish other sports people wre as down to earth Ax

How exciting! I'm really looking forward to Wimbledon, one day i'd love to go and watch it just for the atmostphere really.

I heard her being interviewed on the radio ages ago and thought what a nice, down to earth person she sounded . (Well, she is Scottish so what else would you expect .)

 

Chris Hoy has been to my kids' school and by all accounts is the same .

Would LOVE to have met Chris Hoy. Went to see Dame Kelly Holmes the winter after she won her double Olympic gold. She was lovely too & happily signed photos. Which sportsperson would you like to meet the most

We were childishly excited when Erik Zabel (Tour de France rider) cycled alongside our car in France on holiday a few years ago. (OK, so we didn't "meet" him but we were still excited .)

We were at a cricket benefit dinner a couple of months ago and there were quite a few sporting heroes there. The ones that came over to our table were really down to earth and lovely. Lawrence Dellaglio was ever so friendly and Matthew Pinsent was just enormous but very nice with it

Still on the hunky rowers theme, James Cracknell came to a company thingy in Oxford yesterday. Gave a very funny speech. Seb Coe did a turn for us via video too.
