What do you do about the smell?

Recommended Posts

My six pekin girls free range most of the day, so that's a lot of poo! I go out at least twice a day to poo pick, sprinkle citronella oil on tea bags and drop them in the borders, and make sure that the girls get garlic powder in their pellets. When it's warm, though, there is still a definite smell of chicken  Those curry poos have a vaguely 'burnt' stench which is pretty pungent. I've taken to dropping a small handful of compost on them, so that it's much easier to dispose of them later. I was just wondering what other 'stink prevention' methods others use?

Lovely subject

I pick each day from run and garden but if you get those curry poos on you ugh pong. They have garlic but those ones are rich. I sprinkle some earth where they have been to discourage flies. In the run I just chuck any litter that has touched them. :vom::D
