I have already thought up of the names... its just justifying getting them and where to put them with my exsisting coop WIR set up... ive even been on ebay looking at buyin a new coop and run to house 4-6 new girls! tom123 Posted June 28, 2009 Share Posted June 28, 2009 I have the bug too -started with 2 in feb last year -then 2 more in November -then 2 more 'accidentally' just after Christmas -then 2 for my birthday in december -then 1 more in January -then 2 more in February 4 moved to my nans so back to 7 -then 2 more in February -then 1 more in March -fox attack in april 4 lost 5 left after fox attack -2 ducks in may -1 more in may -1 more in may -3 chicks in may -1 more in June -lost one in June Back to 12 addicted? me? no way! ubereglu Posted June 28, 2009 Share Posted June 28, 2009 All I'm going to say is make sure you're well prepared for them, have enough housing andv realise how much extra work it is-especially when cleaning out more housing and louse powdering your chickens, which you're likely to have to do at some point and make sure you have enough time and space for them. Bunnyish Posted June 28, 2009 Author Share Posted June 28, 2009 yep have thought it all through, i am a primary school teacher so some nights i can be home early, plus i get the school holidays and weekends so get plenty of time to spend with my girls.
