Salad spinner

Recommended Posts

Can anyone recommend a really good salad spinner to me?

I bought mine on a whim last summer, mainly because its hot pink, but while it looks good it isn't really up to the job.

I need something bigger & really, really spinny to deal with all the salad my garden is producing :D

I am looking at the OXO Good Grips one on Amazon, which looks good.

They do 2 sizes & its down to £16, plus they are offering me a trial of their 'Prime' service for a month, which gives me free next day delivery :P

I like the Good Grips range,so am tempted...........

Mine is a Zyliss one...it was quite expensive, but I'm worth it!!!!

Seriously...I had it to replace an existing Zyliss Spinner which I'd had for donkey years before I managed to bounce the bowl off our new kitchen tiles !!! I've had the new one for about three years now, and it seems really sturdy and is quite efficient (but maybe not quite as good as my old one) . I looked at the Good Grips ones too but the Zyliss one has a flat top which meant it would store more easily....

I have an OXO good grips salad spinner. One of my better purchases and should hopefully last a long time. I have the smaller one of the two and for the 3 of us its just right. I highly recommend it :D

Plus - the lid does store away flat as there is a little button you can press when the spinner button is pressed down.

my blacksmith gave me two home grown lettuces covered in wonderful wildlife last week and I forgot what real salad taste like...they were really organic and once I de bugged them the salad spinner I have was so useful to be lifting to soak it etc

I unfortunately got mine on holiday in France but I have seen similar ones here..Really keeps it fresh too

The chickens had a lot of the outer leaves
