chickenlegs Posted July 6, 2009 Share Posted July 6, 2009 Wanted to thank all the members on this site for the invaluable help I have gained as a newbie chook keeper. Things are going fine, its been 3 weeks, sited eglu on soft woodchip, on top of earth treated with garden lime, rake it over nightly and treat once a week with bio dry, girls free range after midday, gives them time to load up on the exbatts pellets, two laying daily. Not Eadie who as queen bee leaves that to her minions, Flo is slightly scatty, leapt into paddling pool then decided life as a duck wasn't for her, so returned to chasing the cat and pecking the dog and Bo who, though still in need of quite a few more feathers, will be a chicken of exceptional beauty.
