Which electric hand held whisk should I think about buying?

Recommended Posts

I have a cheap Tesco Value one, its ok but there are several little annoying things about it. I got it because I wasn't sure how much I would use one and the evidence is that I use one a lot :D I already have a food processor, but I want a hand held whisk as they are so much quicker to get in and out, and of course clean.

So, which one do you have, do you like it, and why? :D

I have bought 2 in the past couple of years and they have both been useless. I had a really cheap one which came free from a catalogue years ago and that was great and when that finally died I bought a Breville one with 3 beaters, but the beaters crashed together, and they did on the replacement too. i gave up on that one and bought a Russel Hobbs one. That worked at first then started sparking everytime you switched it on, then it refused to switch off.

At the moment i either do things by hand, with the light balloon whisk on my stick blender or with my Kenwood Chef I don't think I will be buying another hand held mixer.

No suggestions on which one to buy as i use my mums. She got it for a wedding present 23 years ago! Its still going strong and when it breaks i know i won't be able to find another one like it.

I am looking in advance for when it does break and not many seem to have bowls to attach them too. I don't have the paitence to stand and whizz by hand so want one with a bowl.
