kitchens Posted July 17, 2009 Share Posted July 17, 2009 Hello people Has anyone had an ovarian cyst. I wondered what the symptoms were. I've got a pain in my left side in that area and wondered if thats what it might be. I've had my gall bladder removed but I've still got the same pain I had before my op! Don't want to worry you but I'd be off to your GP's requesting an ultrasound a.s.a.p. Most of the time cysts are fine but need to be looked at quickly. craftyhunnypie Posted July 17, 2009 Share Posted July 17, 2009 Extremely painful & uncomfortable. I had one that caused my appendix to become inflamed & be removed. They didn't remove the cyst - just cleaned it up & left it as they were worried that messing with my ovaries, would spoil any chances of having children. I don't want children anyway - so wish they'd removed it. That was when I was 14, I'm now 34 & had no further problems - except for discovering I have polycystic ovaries. kitchens Posted July 18, 2009 Author Share Posted July 18, 2009 Well just got back from having a scan on my stomach and pelvis and there is nothing going on in there for me to worry about! Phew. No cysts and all my organs measure what they should do .... so now i'm thinking it might be an ulcer because there is no doubt I have pain in my stomach on my left side ..... relieved its nothing else though Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
