huge egg - will hen be okay?

Sorry to post again on my first day, but one of my three has just laid the most enormous egg :shock:

 

It weighs around 120g, is properly egg-shaped and appears to have a sort of 'join' in it, suggesting that two have basically turned into one.

 

The hen who produced it seemed a bit quiet yesterday (I'm not surprised) but seems fine today, and there's no blood or anything on the shell.

 

Two questions really - will she be okay and can we eat the egg??

the 'join' will be were she had a rest the fist few double yolkers big red layed had the 'join' in till she got the hang of laying large eggs (22 doubles in the first 60 days) she just pops one out now and again they've never bothered her but the softies do but thats another story :lol:

Thanks everyone for the help and reassurance. We ate the huge egg on Monday night (fried with some tatties and peas from the garden) and it was lovely. Our first double-yolker. We also took lots of photos.... :oops:
