Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

My OH (under threat of death ) is building our WIR . It is on the site of an old filled in pond which will be surrounded with log roll edging. The idea is to have wood chip on top of the earth in this and easibed on the concrete floor bit. What exactly do I have to put ontop of / under the woodchip and what if anything on top of / under the easibed/concrete.

And if you can understand what I mean give yourself a gold star.

My woodchip is just on bare earth under a covered eglu run.

 

My covered WIR has aubiose straight on slabs.....

 

Any help?

Yes, thank you, I knew what I meant I didnt know if i had to put garden lime, stalosan f or anything like that down.

it might be cheaper to use easibed in both parts i pay the say price for a 25kg bale of a this http://www.giffords.biz/bed/bed1.htm i dont by direct through as for a 60ltr bag of wood chips from B&Q the 25kg does all my run it take 4 of the woodchips
