This is our long term dream - have bought this hill in Crete and one day will build a house and retire there, with our chickens, goats and bees..... ahh one day.

OH is 43, hopes to have up and running for retirement....

 

43 olive trees already (I counted last week) 1 mulberry tree and what looks like a pomegranate, but not 100% sure. Lots of sweet smelling weeds like sage and thyme. Think the locals grow a LOT of courgettes if the menus are anything to go on. It's mostly a bit too rocky for much, but there are streams down the bottom each side and some more fertile ground by them.

The farmer we bought it off still has his flock of goats there! Don't speak Greek (yet) but do have good intentions of learning it.

 

Need to find out if they have foxes - chicken heaven if not!

When you pick your produce they can carry the baskets for you. Yes def donkeys. So fluffy and cute.

erm, make a donkey sanctuary , make sure that all donkeys have a nice straw hat with their name on the brim and charge people to visit and help look after them - you will definitely get visitors (ill come )
