4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

We ordered our green cube with 3m run today. It's due to arrive on 10 August.

 

Funny how we hadn't intended this when we set out, but the new cats persuaded us

We realised the slabs we have down for the eglu & run will be the perfect size for the cube so no extra work

 

We're definately going to replace Miso with 2 hens. We've agreed on a Coral and had wondered about a Maran Cuivre, but the egg production is less for this hen we understand. Might go for another Brown Nick (Warren). Then we can name them Aspro and Kokkino (white & red in Greek to go with the kilo of wine we already have ).

 

Incidentally the Killer cat Marcie has a strike record since Saturday of 2 starlings (completely eaten on the hall mat except for one claw , something that left splattered blood all over the utility room floor but no carcass a live field vole in the hall and a mouse within 3 hours of the vole. She's now wearing a collar with a loud bell We don't like collars, but needs must. We have never had this degree of activity efore, but then we've never had a female before - the guys have always been laid back - and Marley's horizontal virtually all the day

We had a cat like that so we put 3 bells on - it worked although the vet asked if she was a Morris Dancer ! Great news about the cube.

We both used to be Morris Dancers. Think that's why we chose the loud bell. It does sound the same
